Today marks three weeks since we arrived in Oregon with all our belongings piled up in a truck. I wish I could say every box has been unpacked, but alas it isn’t so. There are still some boxes left to go through, but the majority has been unpacked and our new place is feeling settled into.
It’s been difficult, finding my routine again, since there are so many new things to adjust to. Time flew between a week of travel, a week of packing, a week of moving, and now three weeks to settle. All that time away from the norm. Hard to get back into a steady swing.
But I’m also not interested in everything going back to just the way it was. Portland promises so many new adventures, and wonderful new things to incorporate into our new normal. The greenery begs for us to venture outdoors, the weather invites us to attempt gardening for the first time, and the abundance of exciting places to explore (and food to eat) has our heads spinning with what to try next.
We’ve only been here three weeks, but it’s already feeling like home.
