I don’t get to wear skirts all too often, since 5 days out of the week I have to wear long pants to work. On the weekends I get to have a little more fun with the neglected side of my wardrobe. It has been difficult, putting together outfits that use my skirts and dresses, since most of the time I’m in the mindset of ‘how do I make pants work?’.
Midi skirts and dresses are my favorite right now, for a few reasons. Their length allows you to sit on things in the summer without the pain of hot leather car seats or itchy movie theater chairs touching your skin. They are flowy enough to be plenty cool. You can wear shorts under them without worrying that they’ll show! So many positives!
The French Connection sandals are new-ish and awesome. I’ve come to the realization that my pricier, real leather footwear is just more comfortable. And while I say pricier, I still got these sandals at about 80% off the original price in a sale at Saks Off 5th a month or so ago. They don’t pinch or scratch and are cushioned just enough to make walking in them not a problem. I’m writing these observations down here as a reminder for me later: only buy cute AND comfortable shoes!
